The restrictions taken in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic can be a heavy burden for children, young people and families.
In order to support families for whom it is particularly difficult to comply with these measures, the Office national de l’enfance (ONE) and the Centre psycho-social et d’accompagnement scolaires (CEPAS) are setting up a common telephone line offering help and psychological counselling for children, young people and families dealing with stress, conflict and overwork.
The ONE can offer young people and parents family interventions by private, ONE-approved service providers (Luxembourg Red Cross, elisabeth, arcus, Caritas Jeunes et Familles, Solina Solidarités Jeunes).
CEPAS workers are available to listen to, and provide advice and psychological support to pupils, parents and teachers, by telephone on 8002-9393 or during face-to-face consultations (by appointment only).
The 8002-9393 helpline is accessible every day, including public holidays, from 8am to 10pm.
