As a beneficiary of one of the services of the Red Cross-Luxembourg, you would be communicating to us personal information. Your personal life and personal information are of a great importance for the Red Cross-Luxembourg. This Notice is to inform you how do we treat the information we collect from you, and also inform you about your rights in this matter.

Why do we treat your information?

Your personal data is collected and processed by the Lëtzebuerger Integratiouns- a Sozialkohäsiounszenter (LISKO) service in order to provide you with the services for which you are contacting us, namely the follow up and individualized support in order to facilitate the integration; the assistance or guidance in administrative procedures; assistance in accessing or maintaining adequate housing and budget management where appropriate. Your data are also processed when you participate in awareness-raising sessions organised by the LISKO service, and for statistical purposes. Finally, your data is used in communications to inform you about different free integrative activities and when you participate in these activities.

These treatments are based on the execution of a contract or pre-contractual measures with you, on the legitimate interest of the Luxembourg Red Cross, in particular as regards the production of anonymous statistics, or are necessary for the purposes of the fulfillment of obligations and exercise of rights specific to you.

Which types of data are collected?

In accordance with the law, the Luxembourg Red Cross only collects the data necessary for the performance of its missions. These data are generally those that you have communicated to us. Other data may be generated or collected during your relationship with the Luxembourg Red Cross. The data collected is mainly:

• Identification data : first name, social identification number (Matricule) , etc;
• Personal characteristics (age, gender, marital status, nationality, etc;
• Contact details (postal address, telephone number, email address;
• Banking and financial identification data (bank account number, applicant’s budget;
• Lifestyle and consumption habits (complaints, incidents, etc);
• The composition of the household (marriage or partnership status, number of children, etc;
• The characteristics of the accommodation (type of accommodation, rent, number of rooms, etc;
• Data relating to education, training and qualification , (academic training);
• Data relating to the profession (current job, salary, evaluation, security);
• Data relating to goods and services received and / or provided;
• Data of special categories / sensitive data (data relating to health, etc.) only when this is necessary for social support.

HOW LONG IS YOUR DATA KEPT?

Your data is kept for the period necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, and a maximum of two years from the closure of the monitoring file

WITH WHOM IS YOUR DATA SHARED?

Your data is treated confidentially and is shared with third parties only when necessary and in accordance with the law. These third parties may include other services of the Luxembourg Red Cross, the professionals involved in your care, as well as service providers, in particular in the event of IT outsourcing. In the latter case, we make sure that your data is stored and processed in the European Union.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

In accordance with the law, you have the following rights:

• The right to access your data.
• The right to rectify your data when they are incorrect or obsolete.
• The right to lodge a complaint with the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD) if you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with the law

• The right to request the limitation of the processing of your data
• The right to oppose the processing of your data for legitimate reasons
