The Material and Food Aid Department of the Luxembourg Red Cross is organising a clothing drive in participating secondary schools in Luxembourg, between 12 and 16 June 2023. The aim of this event is to collect clothes and shoes that young people no longer use. So that we can give them a second life by giving them to young people in need.
Cardboard boxes will be available in the secondary schools and youth centres participating in this action, so that they can directly deposit the items they are giving away. Posters will also be put up on the walls of these establishments to raise awareness and encourage young people to participate.
The hashtag #BECOOLDONATEYOURCLOTHES was created for the occasion. It emphasizes the fact that having a ton of clothes you don’t wear anymore doesn’t make sense. But giving your old clothes a second life, that’s definitely cool. Find it on Instagram and take part in the challenge that goes with it.
Put on all the clothes you don’t wear anymore, at once! Show us on a IG REEL what you look like. It’s not really cool to have so many useless clothes, is it?
Then snap your fingers or hands and show yourself in your favourite outfit, which you could never give away! Now we’re talking.
