This Wednesday, a Red Cross humanitarian transport left Luxembourg for Ukraine. On board, medical and disinfection equipment for hospitals, gloves, masks -and also food. The lorry will join a convoy which will reach Chernivtsi in Western Ukraine on Friday. From there, the aid will be directed to Donbass, where the Luxembourg Red Cross has been working since the beginning of the conflict – but also to Kiev.
“For logistical reasons, most of the transports that we are organising as part of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Movement’s chain of solidarity start in Macedonia. Today, thanks to the generosity of the Luxembourgish companies JNS Labs, Meditech and La Provençale, we have composed another transport from Luxembourg.”
Rémi Fabbri, Director of the Luxembourg Red Cross’ Humanitarian Aid
“We are working alongside our Ukrainian colleagues in Donbass, near the front lines, but also helping refugees who have arrived in Moldova and in Luxembourg”, Rémi Fabbri continues.
