Strengthening Social Cohesion through Interculturality and the Fight Against Racism and Discrimination (REVEIL)

The REVEIL project aims to promote intercultural coexistence in Luxembourg by celebrating diversity and strengthening mutual understanding, while actively combating racism and discrimination through:

  • Basic and advanced training sessions on key concepts of intercultural learning and the fight against racism and discrimination
  • Train-the-trainer programs to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project
  • Activities such as study visits and hands-on workshops to enhance the skills of local stakeholders and empower them to launch their own intercultural initiatives

Who our training sessions are for

  • Municipalities: Staff of local government administrations
  • Social Sector: Staff and volunteers from non-profit organizations, NGOs focused on the social sector, and others
  • Youth and Childcare Sector: Youth centers, youth assistance services, integrated care and education structures, daycares, after-school care centers, child welfare services
  • Trainers: Independent trainers and staff from municipalities as well as the social, youth, and childcare sectors
  • Signatories of the Biergerpakt (Citizen Pact): Workshop on interculturality during the Orientation Days in Luxembourg

Expected Outcomes in 4 Years

The REVEIL project is a four-year initiative (2025–2028), supported by the Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception, and co-funded by the European Union’s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund. It is implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Belgium and Luxembourg, the LISKO service of the Luxembourg Red Cross, and the Centre for Education and Dialogue Luxembourg (CED).
