LISKO invites you to its training course for professionals entitled “In the shoes of a refugee”.
This two-day course is designed to raise participants’ awareness of the challenges that refugees can face. It also provides a better understanding of the complexity of forced migration.
On the first day, participants are put into the shoes of a refugee through role-playing and learn the basics of asylum law and migration in Luxembourg. Two non-Western cultures – Eritrean and Arab-Muslim – are presented.
The second day will use digital immersion to show that the migratory journey is often strewn with pitfalls that can have a major impact on migrants’ mental health.
A multidisciplinary team of social workers, intercultural interpreters, an anthropologist and a psychologist will be on hand to support you over the two days.
